About Dean McLellan Stonework

Dean McLellan has been involved in dry stone walling from an early age.  He watched his grandfather in Lafontaine Ontario construct walls without the use of mortar and then also use those same stones with mortar in a structural manner to create fireplaces, foundations, features and beautiful homes!  As Dean grew in skill and age he managed to continue these same time honoured traditions in stone, to create some of the most unique and lasting stone projects.

His work now takes him across  Canada and even into Britain.  He has had the opportunity to work with some of the most skilled stoneworkers the world has to offer.  Dean has also been teaching dry stone walling and stone masonry in all these spots.

Dean is now the first and only certified Master Craftsman and Examiner in Canada recognized by the British Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain!!

He is also a  professional member of the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain and a certificated instructor.

If you are seeking to have  unique and timeless stonework created then please contact Dean to discuss your ideas!

Dean was recently appointed as Faculty Associate to the Willowbank School of Restoration Arts in Queenston Ontario!  Look for upcoming workshops at their facility and terrific location just outside Niagara on the Lake!
