THIS IS A TWO DAY HANDS ON COURSE OPEN TO MASONS, LANDSCAPER AND ENTHUSIASTS OF ALL
IT WILL COVER SAFETY, BASIC TERMINOLOGY, STRUCTURE AND STYLES OF DRY STONE WALLING
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY PROPER WALLING TECHNIQUES AND CONSTRUCT THEIR OWN WALLS WITH AND UNDERSTANDING OF STRUCTURE
THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT AND STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR OWN TOOLS IF THEY HAVE THEM, SAFETY SHOES, EYEWEAR PROTECTION
INSTRUCTORS ARE CERTIFIED WITH THE DRY STONE WALLING ASSOCIATION OF GREAT BRITAIN
LUNCHES ARE PROVIDED AS WELL AS COFFEE AND TEA AT BREAK TIMES
THE COURSE IS RIGHT ON THE SAUGEEN AMPHITHEATER GROUNDS AND GIVES FOLKS A CHANCE TO SEE THE TERRIFIC WORK BEING DONE BY THE SAUGEEN WALLERS!
SOME OF THE BEST WALLERS IN CANADA AND THE U.S. WILL BE ON HAND AS WELL AS MASTERCRAFTSMEN JIM HANSON (SCOTLAND) AND LAURIE LAMBETH (ENGLAND)
BRIAN FAIRFIELD AND MATT CARTER (USA) WILL BE LEADING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MASSIVE STONE ARCH BUILT AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE AMPHITHEATER!
COURSE COST IS 300$ PLUS HST PER STUDENT

I’m pleased to announce that Dean McLellan Stonework and the Saugeen Amphitheater restoration program with the support of Upper Canada
Laurie Lambeth returning for their second year of Examining for us.
Potential candidates are encouraged to research the process through the DSWA.org.uk web site. I am available as the only Examiner in Canada to answer questions as well after initial research.
Level 1 certification is 475$ Canadian, and Level 2 is 575$ Canadian. Level three exams can be arranged through
