This is a two day introductory course to drystone walling that will cover all of the basic components of the trade, including but not limited to, how to construct a sturdy dry stone wall and proper use of tools.

This is a beginners course open to tradesmen, landscapers, masons, homeowners and anyone looking to get a start in the craft.

This is a new wall being constructed at the optimist in addition to the existing wall previously built.

The course and certification are rain or shine events. Please dress for the weather. Appropriate safety wear is required: steel-toe boots, eye protection, and gloves if desired (recommended). All tools will be provided for the course. Some lifting and moving of materials is involved. This is a practical, hands-on event.
